Betty Glenn

Betty spent her early childhood at Aileron Station, Central Desert, Northern Territory. Betty attended school at Ti Tree and later moved to Engawala Community where she joined a women’s painting group. Betty’s aunt and grandmother encouraged Betty to take up painting at the age of 12. Betty’s paintings generally depict bush plums, bush onions, bush potato’s, and bush tomato. Betty is also skilled at using a burning, etching tool to create art on wood. Betty is one of the ladies that attended the Visual Arts course at Batchelor in Alice Springs. She has also been involved in painting the metal megafauna figures for the Alcoota museum in Alice Springs.
